#TIFF15: Canadian Film Centre Celebrates Film & TV With Annual BBQ

Anokhi Pulse TV Dec 16, 2015

The CFC BBQ brings together the entire entertainment industry in Canada during TIFF for one day of celebration and support for the arts & entertainment fields.

This year’s CFC Annual BBQ Fundraiser, hosted by the Canadian Film Centre and its Chief Executive Officer Slawko Klymkiw and CFC Founder and Chair Emeritus Norman Jewison, drew guests from all corners of the industry, some of which saw films premiere at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.

The purpose of the BBQ? To bring together the entire Canadian entertainment industry for one day of celebration and to help raise funds for the CFC, a non-profit organization. The funds are then used to create and maintain educational programs for new talent in every aspect of the entertainment industry where they can learn and master their skills and get their dream job.

ANOKHI PULSE TV gets a chance to speak to Argie Eliopoulous, CFC's Associate Director of Partnership & Events to find out details about the BBQ fundraiser. APTV even catch up wtih some TIFF talent to find out why the BBQ is such an important event for them to attend and how it helps them connect with their colleagues and industry at large.
